Jian takes pride in his Iranian heritage as well as his Canadian citizenship. He holds a degree in Political Science and History.

Jian ghomeshi is a multi-talented musical artist, writer, producer and television personality born in London, England and now based in Toronto, Canada. He is currently the host of >play, a national arts and entertainment talk show that appears live on CBC Newsworld each week.

On Saturday January 31st there will be a benfit concert for the victims of Bam earthquake, Jian will be hosting the event with recent Iranian/Canadian Miss Canada, Nazanzin Afshar.
