Australia's men's volleyball team scraped into the Athens Olympics despite losing to Iran in the final qualifying tournament here.

The Australians, needing to take just a set in their last match, crashed to a 19-25, 24-26, 23-25 defeat but still managed to clinch second spot on points difference from China. Iran was eliminated even though they had pretty good showing at the games, only the touroment winner and the top Asian country would qualify for the olypmics.
